We have an appeal from Tom Thorn of Hackney Council:
I’m supporting a group of Hackney Councillors (forming the Living in Hackney Scrutiny Commission) to carry out a review into housing in the borough, and the extent to which new housing developments serve the needs of all residents.
Full details of the review can be found on the dedicated webpage for the review.
One of the core questions that the Councillors are seeking to answer is around residents’ views towards the topic of affordable housing in Hackney. They want to hear resident views towards the housing market, the role and approach that they feel that the Council should take towards new housing development, and about levels of support for practical steps that the Council may be able to take to try to improve things further.
To help them do this, the Councillors have designed a survey. It should take around five minutes to complete.
It’s available by clicking here, or by going to the page below:

I would be ever so grateful if you could complete this as it will help the Council better understand the views of people living in Hackney, and it could help shape the future actions that it takes.
If you could also send this onto anyone else who you know and who lives in Hackney, this would also be greatly appreciated.
