Recycling and Waste
Info on all related services is here: https://hackney.gov.uk/menu#recycling-and-waste

There is a small electrical and electronic equipment recycling bank located in Morrison’s car park.  You can recycle any item that is powered by a plug or batteries, including cables and leads. However, the maximum item size we can accept is 28cm by 23cm.  Anything larger can be recycled at a reuse and recycling centre

Textiles and clothes recycling banks are located in Morrison’s Car Park,  the George Downing Estate (by the communal recycling bins off Alkham Road) and at Nelson Mandela House on Cazenove Rd.
You can recycle your old clothes, linen, paired shoes and accessories. We cannot accept duvets, pillows or cushions in these banks. More information on recycling textiles https://hackney.gov.uk/recycle-clothes-textiles.

Hackney offer a collection service for bulky items including TVs, fridges and washing machines. Collections must be booked in advance. Collections start at £15, but residents who receive housing benefit do not have to pay.  https://hackney.gov.uk/bulky-waste/#bulky
